Ma Mak Bik Lin passed away peacefully on Monday, November 30th, surrounded by her loving family. She was a dedicated mother to Linda and Yuk Bor and her three younger siblings. She passed on her legacy to her five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Ma Mak Bik Lin was a rambunctious, energetic, loud, stubborn, and feisty women. She was also kind, generous, and a loving person.
Everyone who didn’t know her saw an image of a tiny lady walking around with a cane, but for those who were close would always tell her to slow down, for she was always power walking with her cane.
She would always be cooking up a meal and then call her grand kids to come pick up the food or just go over to eat. She had an obsession about feeding everyone. She would overfill dinner plates even when you are done eating and would never let you go home without taking bags filled of food on your way out.
For someone as tiny as her, no one would know how energetic and spirited she was. She and her friends would call each other to play Mah Jong. If it wasn’t Mah Jong, she would be out buying groceries or just hanging out at her friends place. You would never see her at home doing nothing, she would be out an about regardless what the weather is like.
Ma Mak Bik Lin was a devoted and very loving person. Her absence would surely be missed by all of her loved ones.
