Sorry for your loss. Jens was a warrior for the environment and open space , a true Viking . I admired his willingness to speak up at public meetings with a strong voice. His courage will be missed.

I remember Jens from when I was a little girl in Squantum. He made the 4th of July eve bonfires very special, and perhaps started the tradition. Jens always collected a mountain of wood and made sure no one got hurt. You had to listen to Jens.

June and the entire Thornton family - I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I will always remember him standing in Orchard St with his hands on his hips surveying all that was going on. He is a part of our community and always will be. He was an extremely strong presence and will always be with all of you. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

So sorry to hear of your fathers passing. Remember the many times he substituted in my high school classes. He brought a breath of fresh air in the way he instructed to what we were use to. My God give you strength in this time of grief, my prayers are with your family. God bless.
