John C. "Hollywood" McShane

John C. “Hollywood” McShane, 75, of Quincy, MA (Merrymount) peacefully passed away on March 2, 2018.  Preceded in death by his beloved dog Rylee and cat Checkers, he is greatly missed by his daughters Sandra Mastrullo and Kate Cook, partner Georgia Kiriacopoulos, sons-in-law Brian Mastrullo and Brian Cook, six grandchildren Ashley, Shane, Whitney, Gemma, Luke, and Cody, and his faithful dog Savanna.

He was proud of his thirty-seven year teaching career, many years of coaching volleyball, and his 2004 Hall of Fame induction at Boston English High School. He served for six years in the 187th Infantry Brigade (US Army), had a lifetime membership at Wessagussett Yacht Club, graduated from Quincy Junior College, Suffolk University, and Boston State College, and was an active member in the St. Chrysostom’s Church community.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 10, 2018 at 11 am at St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church (1 Linden St. Quincy, MA 02170.)  Donations in John’s memory can be made to the MGH Cancer Center 125 Nashua St. Suite 540 Boston, MA 02114.
