Watts, Lawrence T., 81, of Quincy, passed away peacefully on Monday November 2nd after a period of declining health. Survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Marie (Farina) Watts of Quincy and his two sons Brian of Duxbury and Gerard (Gerry) of Halifax. Proud Grandpa of Jonathan, Mitchell, Alexander, Alissa, Nicholas and Noah. Brother of the late William, Harold, Robert, John, James, Paul and loving sister Eleanor.
Larry served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean Conflict, much of the time abroad the U.S. S. Yosemite. Upon leaving the military he attended Northeastern University, while working for the Federal Government Department of Defense, he retired several years ago.
Larry was a man of deep abiding faith, a regular communicant at St. Ann’s Church where he served as a ecumenical minister for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus 2259 in Quincy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Larry on Friday, November 6th at 10:00AM at St. Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 3PM to 7PM at the Lydon Chapel for Funerals, 644 Hancock Street, Quincy. Internment at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury. Burial will be private.
