Welcome to the memorial page for

Louise G. Worth

January 13, 2018

With a gentle sigh, Louise G. (Holton) Worth passed from this world and through the Gates of Heaven on January 13, 2018 at Dwyer Home at Fairing Way in Weymouth after a period of declining health. The cherished daughter of the late Carl R. and Gertrude (Blossom) Holton, Louise was raised and educated in Braintree. She was the wife of the late Walter V. Worth with whom she enjoyed seventy years of marriage. They resided in Quincy for more than fifty years.

Louise was the most wonderful and loving mother to their three children: Carol Apgar of Scituate,   Patricia (Rougvie) McLaughlin of Peabody and Ronald Worth of Hudson. Louise was lovingly known as Palma by her five beloved grandchildren: Laurel Buckley of Plymouth; Scott Apgar ( and Lorraine) of Boxboro and Moultonborough, NH; Jeffrey Rougvie ( and  Maria) of Salem; Samuel Apgar ( and  Holly) of Taipei, Taiwan; and Rusty Apgar ( and Wendy) of Marshfield MA.

She also leaves her adored great-grandchildren: Andrew ( and Rachel), Jennifer, Ryan, Eric, Julie, Jamie, Nash, Anabel and Samantha. Louise was the dear aunt of Byron Race of Presque Isle, ME and was predeceased by her loving sister Mary Race and nephew Clyde Race.

All of her life Louise was a gracious and caring person. She looked for the best in people and had a way of making those around her feel special. She was patient, kind, determined, understanding and ever a lady.

Louise’s greatest joy in life was her family. She showered them with love and, by example, taught them strong values to live by. She gave herself selflessly to them, always putting her needs last. Her family adored her and was blessed to have had her in their life. She will be loved and will remain in our hearts forever, never to be forgotten.

At Louise’s request, services will be private. The family requests no flowers. Instead a donation to a charity of your choice in Louise’s name would be what she would desire.
