Mary E. McElman (Olson), 80, of Quincy passed away on January 7, 2018. Loving wife of 58 years to the late Keith H. McElman of Quincy.  Dedicated mother of Keith W. McElman of Halifax, Cheryl A. McElman of Quincy, Robert D. McElman of Brockton and the late Scott E. McElman. Sister of Shirley Olson of Quincy, and Emily McAuley of Lake Worth, FL. and the late William Olson, Dorothy MacMelville, Mildred DeLano, Beatrice Brunswick, Robert Olson, U. James Olson and Helen MacKay.  Devoted Grandmother of William, Christopher, Alexander, Ryan, Shawna, Robby, Andrew and Hannah. Also survived by one Great Grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for many years.  She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends at her swimming pool.  Mary was also a self-taught cake decorator who created beautiful cakes on many occasions for her family and friends. Mary will always be remembered for her loving care and devotion to everyone.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 11 from 4pm to 7pm at the Lydon Chapel for Funerals, 644 Hancock St. Quincy, MA 02170. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service for Mary on Friday, January 12 at 11AM at the Lydon Chapel for Funerals. Internment following at Blue Hills Cemetery.
