99, of Quincy, MA, died peacefully in her sleep on June 23, 2016 surrounded by her four children.
A force of nature, who beat ovarian cancer in her early 70s, Mary was retired from the Clerk’s office in the District Court of Massachusetts at Quincy and, post-retirement, served as a volunteer for Quincy Hospice. She leaves four children: Pamela Brennan and her husband, Peter, of Quincy, MA; Suzanne Johnson and her partner, Klaus Lohmeyer, of Plymouth, MA; Jeffrey Sheahan and his wife, Theresa, of Amherst, NH; and Randy Sheahan and his wife, Judith, of Cambridge, MA. She also leaves five grandchildren: Sarah Brennan and Emma Brennan of Quincy, MA; Jessica Sheahan and her husband, Vien Dobui, of Portland, ME; Caroline Sheahan of New York City; and Scott Johnson of Plymouth, MA. She is survived, as well, by several nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by her husband, Gerard M. Sheahan, by her sister, Dorothy Poutree, and by her brothers, John and Robert Randolph. Visiting hours will be held at Lydon Chapel for Funerals, 644 Hancock St., Quincy, MA, on Tuesday, June 28, from 5 PM to 8 PM. A private burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Quincy, MA.
