Albert "Al" G. Lane

Albert “AL” George Lane has officially left the sports field. Al passed away peacefully Saturday March 23rd, 2024.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years Marilyn (Aspro).  Together they raised 3 children Jeff (Linda Sampson), Sherry (Jeff Carter), and David (Dawn Gates). His 6 grandchildren Bryant “B”, Makenna “Kenna”, Erik, Joey, Timmy and Catherine. Al also leaves behind many other family and friends. Specifically sister in law Susan and her son David. 

Al was born and raised in Norwood MA where he was a Police Officer for many years. Al took an early retirement and moved to Naples FL where he and Marilyn resided basking in the sunshine, playing golf and making many new friends.  Al and Maryilyn recently returned back to Norwood to be with family. 

Al enjoyed life. He filled it with his children’s sports and then was a constant at everything grandchildren. He was their coach, biggest fan and loudest cheerleader. He loved anything patriots.  He enjoyed all food and especially chocolate chip cookies.

It is with all our love, respect and affection we say goodbye to the best husband, greatest dad and number 1 Al to his grandkids. We love you and you will forever be in our hearts and our minds.

A Celebration of Life will take place for Al on Thursday March 28th from 5pm to 7pm at Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., Norwood.
