Annie "Ann" Louise (Burgess) Penney

Annie Louise “Ann” Penney(Burgess), 95, of Weymouth formerly of Quincy, died October 13, 2018 following a period of declining health. 

Born an English woman in Carbonear, Newfoundland -prior to the confederation of Newfoundland into Canada- she was proud of her English/Scottish roots.

She was the devoted wife of 32 years to the late Gerald W. Penney.  Mother of Dr. Curtis W. Penney and his wife Lynne of Fargo, ND. Aunt of Dorothy Sheppard, Mary Andrews and Margie Yates.  Sister of the late Vivian Sheppard, Wallace, Charles, James and Cecil Burgess.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews in Canada, and dear friends including John and Joanne MacFarlane.

Annie was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church in Quincy.

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited, will be held Wednesday October 17 at 11:00 am in the First Presbyterian Church, 270 Franklin Street, Quincy, MA 02169. Visitation will take place in the Church Prior to the Funeral Service from 10 -11 AM.  Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, 815 Willard St. in Quincy.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
