Hawko, Barbara J., (Ridge) of Quincy, formerly of So. Boston died October 9 with her loving family by her side.  Barbara grew up in So. Boston where she graduated from South Boston High in 1972.  She was a graduate of UMASS Boston.  Barbara worked for the US Postal Service for 36 years.  She enjoyed golfing, watching the Patriots, girl’s nights out and most importantly spending time with her family.

Barbara is the cherished wife of Stephen Hawko for 36 years. Proud mother of Stephen Hawko and his wife Tara, Matthew and Bridget Hawko all of Quincy. Grandmother of Alaina. Daughter of Barbara (Lydon) Ridge and the late Martin Ridge. Sister of Catherine Joyce and her husband Daniel, Susan Stille and her husband Timothy all of Quincy and the late Martin Ridge. Barbara is survived by 12 nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara Friday at 10 Am in St. Mary’s Church, West Quincy. Visiting hours for Barbara will be held in her Church at St. Mary’s, 95 Crescent St, West Quincy Thursday from 4-8 pm.  Burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford
