Colin Chinsen 甄金瑞 Obituary

Colin Cyril Chinsen, 55, of Canton, formerly of Newton, died December 4, 2018.

Colin was a talented and respected Programmer for Meditech for more than 30 years, and was an active fisherman, sports fanatic and member of the Chinatown Hurricanes.  

Loving son of I-Kuan Chinsen and Sun Yiep (Chan) Chinsen of Newton. Devoted husband of more than 19 years to Jenny (Yung) Chinsen, and cherished father of their children, Olivia and Andrew, all of Canton. Dear brother of Pearl Chan and her husband William Chan of Boston, Tsuilian Chinsen of Framingham, Linda Louie and her husband John Louie of Brookline, and Susan Chinsen and her husband Samson Lee of Quincy. Also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, 1 great nephew and a large circle of extended family including 3 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law, and many good friends.

Visiting Hours Tuesday Dec 11 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Tirrell Room located at 254 Quarry St, Quincy. Funeral Wednesday Dec 12 at the Tirrell Room beginning at 10:00am, culminating in a solemn procession to St. Michael’s Crematory, Boston. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of may be made to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s Cancer research fund at www.bidmc.org/giving or by check made payable to “Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center” with “Cancer research fund” on the memo line and mailed to: Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Office of Development, 330 Brookline Ave – OV, Boston, MA 02215.
