Daniel Giacomozzi

Giacomozzi, Daniel, 65, long time resident of Quincy passed away on August 26, 2018.  Son of the late Daniel and Eleanor (DiTullio) Giacomozzi.  Loving companion of Lena Dorch of Cambridge.  Devoted father of Erica Gunn and her husband Branden of Medford, Sarah Giacomozzi of RI, Audrey Rioux and her husband Steven of FL and Hannah Giacomozzi of Plymouth. Brother of David Giacomozzi and his wife Nancy of Waltham, the late Mark “Lugh” Giacomozzi and the late Ellen McKenna.  Grandfather of Dante Giacomozzi and April, Andrew and Serenity Rioux.  Nephew of Jeanette Matarazzo of Hingham and the late Norma Gacicia. 

Graduate of Braintree High School Class of 1971. Attended Michigan State College and graduated from Northeastern in 1979 with a degree in Accounting.  Worked on the Braintree Auxiliary Police Force and South Shore Plaza Security from 1971 to 1979.  Avid animal lover who volunteered in his youth at Trailside Museum of Blue Hills in Milton. He also volunteered with multiple Cerebral Palsy and MS charities in recent years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday September 5th from 10am to 12pm at Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St. in Quincy. A graveside service will follow at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Memorials and Tributes, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter, 101A First Ave. Waltham, MA 02451.
