Karen Sue Werner

Werner, Karen Sue, age 59 of Quincy, MA passed peacefully and comfortably in her sleep surrounded by her family and cherished dogs, Honey Pot and Chester after a brief illness on June 29 2018. Beloved daughter of Robert Werner of Quincy and Susan Anderson and her husband John of Grayslake, IL.  Loving sister of Doug Werner and his wife Jenny of Asheville, NC.  Proud aunt of Abbie and Sevi Werner of Asheville, NC.  Devoted friend of Lorraine Lydon of Milton and Andrew Puopolo of Boston.  Also survived by many step-siblings, aunts, cousins and friends. 

Born in Cincinnati, OH in 1958 Karen was a graduate of Crawfordsville Indiana Senior High School and subsequently of Katharine Gibbs School of Boston.  She was a Senior Legal Asst. in the Public Finance Section with Mintz, Levin for over 36 years.  Karen was known for her sense of style, generosity and kindness to all whom she encountered.  Her gregarious and generous personality and her ready sense of humor will be greatly missed.  The family would like to thank relatives and friends for all of their kindness and support. 

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Karen’s name to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, www.arlboston.org/donate.
