Paul Dennis Butler, Sr.

Butler, Paul Dennis, Sr., 85, of Quincy passed away on March 10, 2018.  Devoted husband of 60 years to Louise Ann (Whitfield) Butler of Quincy. Son of the late Francis E. and Anna L. (McGrath) Butler, Sr. and son-in-law of the late William A. and Blanche M. (Sullivan) Whitfield.  Loving father of Jeanne M. Carnell and her husband James of Quincy, Denise M. Duggan and her late husband Joseph of Squantum, Louise M. Cavanaugh and her late husband Michael of Whitman, Susan M. Malone and her late husband Stephen of South Boston, and the late Paul D. Butler, Jr.  Brother-in-law of William A. Whitfield, III of Natick.  Paul also leaves behind 10 grandchildren including Patrick, Brendan, Brianne and Siobhan who shared a home with him for many years, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Mass for Paul on Friday March 16th at 11AM at Gate of Heaven Church, 615 E 4th St, South Boston.  Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.  Visiting hours will be held on Thursday March 15th from 4pm to 7pm at Lydon Chapel for Funerals, 644 Hancock Street, Quincy.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 or www.CareDimensions.org or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
