McCarthy, Russell J., 86, of Quincy, passed away on May 14th 2017.  Beloved husband of Madeline McCarthy (Steele) of Quincy.  Father of Kenneth and Carol McCarthy of North Attleboro, Susan and Richard Carreiro of Norton, James “Rusty” and Laura McCarthy of Weymouth, the late Douglas McCarthy and his wife Shirley of S.C., Linda Salisbury and her late husband Robert of Norton, Stanley Harding of Quincy, Russell and Colleen Harding of Hull, Mark and Cheryl Chobanian of Randolph, James and Jennifer Harding of Taunton, Glenn and Michelle Harding of Berkley, Michael Harding of Randolph, the late Michelle Loonie and her husband Rich Loonie of Stoughton, the late Richard Harding and John Harding. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Russell was a trucker for many years for Mayflower moving company in Randolph.  He was an avid boater and also was a pilot for a short period of time.  Russell also loved dancing. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours for Russell on Wednesday May 31st from 5pm to 7pm at the Lydon Chapel for Funerals, 644 Hancock St. Quincy.
