Elizabeth Ann Lyons

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Lyons, 84, of Quincy formerly of Dorchester died in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at John Scott House in Braintree following a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Edward Albert and Eleanor Mary (Johnson) Lyons.

Sister of the late Edward P. Lyons, and sister-in-law of the late Maureen (McCarthy) Lyons. Dear Aunt of Donna Welch and her husband Michael Welch of Quincy, Debra Weare of South Carolina, Edward Lyons, Jr. and his wife Karen Lyons of Pennsylvania, and Michael Lyons and his wife Anne Lyons of North Carolina. She is also survived by great nieces and great nephews as well as cousins.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours Monday, April 6, from 4:00-7:00pm at Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock Street, Quincy. Catholic prayer service will begin at 10:00am Tuesday April 7 at the funeral home, with Father Martin Dzengeleski, Pastor of Holy Trinity Parish, Quincy, officiating. Burial to follow in her family plot at New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard St, Boston.
