Gerard “Gerry” Ewen, 71, of Quincy passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 18, 1955 in Weymouth, MA, Gerry worked many different jobs but found his career working for the cable company. He loved sports, especially the Patriots and Bruins. He enjoyed being outdoors, bike riding, fishing, or just sitting on the front deck waving at everyone who went by. He had a passion for vintage cars, music, and of course for his dogs. Known for his unique sense of humor and generosity of spirit, he could light up a room with his dad jokes and endearing personality.
He is predeceased by his parents Graham and Therese Ewen, his brothers Denny Ewen and Jim Ewen, and his sister Chris Melanson. He is survived by his wife Denise, his children Tracy Croall and her husband Mark, Jake Ewen and his wife Ashley, Sara Centofanti and her husband Alan, Michelle Clarke and her husband Jeff, Kevin Walter and his wife Allison, Tess Foster and her husband Frank, his sister Kate Charlton, his beloved grandchildren Maureen, Caroline, Lily, Noah, Frank Jr, and Savannah, and many nieces and nephews. A special greeting, in the words of Gerry, “UGG” to all of his loved ones.
A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday July 29th at 11am at Houghs Neck Congregational Church, 310 Manet Ave Quincy, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Houghs Neck Congregational Church. https://www.hncong.org/donations.html
