Karen Elizabeth A'Hearn, 64, of Quincy died in the early morning hours of April 12, 2026 following a short illness. She was the loving daughter of the late James W. and Carol A. (Bluette) A’Hearn of Dorchester.
Karen lived life to the fullest and especially loved scuba diving. For decades she traveled to remote destinations; scuba diving all over the world. She enjoyed traveling, but teaching was her real passion. She had a great appreciation for history, and worked as a History teacher at Brockton High School for many years.
She was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots, and never missed watching the game. She leaves behind many dear colleagues and the many friends she made along the way.
Loving sister of Brian T. A’Hearn and his partner Julie Conrad of Quincy, Steven J. A’Hearn and his wife Jennifer, and the late James M. A’Hearn. Beloved auntie to Christopher J. and Jazmyn Conrad.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her visiting hours at Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St, Quincy on Thursday April 16, 2026 from 5:00-8:00pm, during which a Catholic wake service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105
