Robert Mabb Obituary

On Thursday, March 23, 2023, Bob passed away after a brief illness. He had a good 82 years right up to recently. Bob was a family man to the core. He was married to his wife, Frances for over 55 years. He enjoyed time with his children, grandchildren, and recently great granddaughter. He was there for his Grandchildren’s sporting events, school events, birthdays and cookouts. He never missed any.

Bob loved tinkering around the house and making the rounds in the Volvo whether it was to Hull Gut or the random invites he would get from the family for dinners. He was always up to hanging out with his kids and the grandchildren.

His ingenuity was amazing. The guy could cut cost on a project as evidenced by walking around the property especially the barn and seeing all the projects he's done over the years. He always used what was available so he could save a trip to the hardware store.

Bob was in the Navy for 4 years and was proud of his Navy service especially when he escorted a Russian submarine out to international waters during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He was a great Father, mentor and friend and he will be missed by all.

He leaves behind his wife Frances, his sons Mark, William, and Alex and his daughter Holly. He is also survived by his Grandchildren Emily, Jessica, Jake, Finn and Eleanor and Great Grand Daughter Melia as well as his sisters Susan and Theresa.

Private family services were held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
