Cheryl came into our lives recently. She worked for us at our restaurants in Barton and in Brownington. I know I should be respectful and mournful, and I am. However, I know Cheryl is saying, "Tell it like it is, girl!" and so I shall. She was a HOOT! She worked in the kitchen, and could that gal talk! I feel like I know her family so well. She loved you all so much, not just the siblings but also the nieces and nephews. I heard so many stories of things that happened both recently as well as over the years. She was always loving and joyful when talking of you; how she made us laugh! I always looked forward to when she was working. She and my husband hit it off so well; she was always talking about either the pontoon or the camper. She and Larry had made plans to visit us in FL this winter. It is absolutely unbelieveable that she is gone. She will leave a giant hole in our staff as well as all our hearts. I am so sorry for your loss, and please let me know what I can do to help.

The photo posted here depicts perfectly the Cheryl we knew and of whom we have very fond memories.
Our experience with Cheryl was long ago and at a significant time for us. During our formative years when we were girls of 5 and 6 years of age she became a regular presence in our home, our lives and permanently in our hearts. She was just 16 when we first met her - intelligent, pretty, warm, and funny. We suddenly had a big sister full of life and charisma. We were in awe of her ability to draw, she read voraciously and we looked forward to her reading to us. When she became a young mother she shared this, too. When Cheryl came we didn’t need our dolls, she had a new baby boy, another bright spot. She helped us learn and let us participate in every aspect of caring for a baby from head to toe. As usual, with great explanations along the way, this continued as he grew and two more baby girls followed! Holidays, birthdays and road trips were more fun with Cheryl. Although our relationship with her was extremely limited once we reached our adolescence, our hearts are heavy today, and they go out to her family. As a positive influence during fundamental years of our lives, we will always remember Cheryl in a very affectionate way.
